Our Guest Teachers bring enormous value to our schools; they ensure learning continues when teachers are absent. They provide knowledge, encouragement and inspiration to our students.

 

This role offers the opportunity to positively impact students' experience, while having the freedom to choose the days that you work, and the schools and classrooms where you want to teach. 

 

Training is provided to ensure our Guest Teachers have the tools to succeed in the classroom.

 

HIRING SALARY: $20.40 per hour

 

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Support instruction and assessment aligned with District learner outcomes and State achievement standards. Supervise assigned students and maintain a positive learning environment. Adapt instruction to meet the learner needs of all students increasing the probability of advancing their achievement. Maintain positive inter-personal relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold a valid teaching license or substitute authorization issued by the State of Colorado.  

 

Fingerprinting for your Colorado Department of Education Substitute Authorization

Before anyone can participate in any field experience, practicum, internship, employment, or other placement, they must pass a background check. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have both contracted with two third-party vendor,  Colorado Fingerprinting, to take fingerprints. This electronic process is far faster than the old fingerprint card method. NO REIMBURSEMENTS WILL BE ISSUED.
